Trinity Sunday – May 30th 2010
Jesus said to his disciples: "When the Spirit of truth comes he will lead you to the complete truth". The most profound truth of all is about the nature of the true God, a Trinity of Persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This truth is far beyond our understanding but is implanted close into our hearts by God's Spirit. The second profound truth is that we are made in God's image. This truth is also far beyond our understanding but is capable of being lived out by us through the power of the same Spirit living in us. It is in the intimate relationships of marriage and family that we especially share in the intimate life of the true God. But we need to learn to live there with an ever-greater reverence and love. We also live in God through our community with one another as Christians. This needs to be characterised by energy and enthusiasm for the world as the kingdom of God.
Fr. Johnny Doherty, C.Ss.R.

The Governors of St. Mary's College would like to invite you to a meeting in the school on Tuesday, 1st June at 7pm. At this meeting you can ask questions and get some information about the basis for the proposal and what it might mean for your children. It is important that there should be an informed discussion about our future and we would ask as many interested parents as possible to attend. The date for the close of consultation has been extended to 30th June.

Clear out the loft! On 3rd July, 7 Lower Sixth students from St. Mary's College, Clady will be travelling to Romania. This year we are trying to fill a 40 foot truck and need your help. It will all be put to good use either in the orphanages or in very, very poor communities.

Big items can be collected by arrangement or any of our pupils will be happy to carry in a bag to school. The school contact number is: 2582 1370. Your help is much appreciated!  Roisin Clayton, Principal.
