Statement on Covid-19 update to regulations
Greenlough Parish – Covid-19 Regulations Update
- We would like to acknowledge your great efforts adhering to all the guidelines since we re-opened our Churches. A very special thanks to our team of volunteers working behind the scenes before and after all Masses.
- In recent weeks we have seen an increase in the presence of the Virus both in Northern Ireland and in our own area. The summer seemed to offer some respite but the present situation is a reminder that we need to re-double our efforts and follow the guidelines and regulations.
- The Executive have now made it mandatory that we wear face coverings as we enter and leave the church.
- Our Church will remain open to the public for Mass & Private Prayer.
- Attendance at Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals is set at 25 people.
- The Dispensation from attending Sunday and Holy Day Mass obligation is extended for the time being.
- The capacity in the Church for each Mass both Weekdays & Weekends remains limited to 90 people with social distancing in place.
- It is important to sanitise our hands and to maintain social distancing in the Church, especially on entering and exiting the Church.
- It is most important that people who are vulnerable or unwell, and especially those with any symptoms that might suggest Covid-19 infection, should stay at home and, if possible, participate, via webcam, social media, television, or radio.
- While it is important that we follow the Executive guidance, we must take responsibility in every part of our lives especially in our contacts with others.
We have to remain hopeful knowing that
“All this will pass”
