Words of greeting to media by Bishop Donal McKeown, on his appointment as Bishop of Derry
Ladies and gentlemen,
Thank you for coming here this morning. I know that you have many calls on your time. I thank you for the important role that you have played and continue to play in both Church and civic society.
New Bishop o f Derry
His Holiness Pope Francis has announced that Bishop Donal McKeown is to be the new Bishop of the Diocese of Derry.
Bishop Donal McKeown was presented to the priests and people of the diocese by Fr. Francis Bradley, Diocesan Administrator, accompanied by the Apostolic Nuncio, Archbishop Charles Brown, at a Prayer Service in St. Eugene’s Cathedral, Derry.

A Book of Prayer will be placed at Our Lady’s Grotto.
Students, their parents, grandparents/friends are invited to enter their name in this book.
We will remember them in our prayers at all Masses during May & June.
